1. Purpose
| (a) |
promote the international exchange of knowledge and research techniques via training fellowships, instructional courses and workshops, as well as organization and funding for international meetings;
|
| (b) |
provide expert advice to governmental and non-governmental agencies on the support of human and other proteome research;
|
| (c) |
collect and distribute information on human and other proteome-related programs and projects;
|
| (d) |
promote open access to major resources for human proteome analysis, such as databases, collections of DNA clones, cell lines and other biological samples; and
|
| (e) |
act as liaison with other international organizations involved in proteome research and related development and providing support for or assistance with their activities.

2. Structure
